This is how we devised the name ‘Cuprum Distillery’ with Cuprum being the Latin word for copper, and CU is the chemical element for copper and 29 is the atomic number (hence our logo features CU29) Together, with Stewarts son Rory, the building has been transformed into a craft distillery with an old school whisky bar vibe.Ĭopper stills are renowned as the finest method for producing excellent spirits.
Owners Mike Honeybell and Stewart Binnie renovated the building and designed the distillery themselves by using natural materials along with recycled steel and copper.
